Last month, I had the opportunity to take my first Diego Downtown trip with the awesome people behind Liberte Yogurt. I traveled to Minneapolis, MN to to visit one of the only remaining mills in the US; The Faribault Mill Co. which is located in Faribault, MN which is just outside of Minneapolis, has been around for nearly 150 years.
I was lucky enough to have gotten a tour of the mill and got a behind the scenes look at how they take raw wool and create blankets, throws, scarves and accessories of remarkable comfort and quality which are all made in the USA.
During my visit, I stayed in the Hewing Hotel located in the historic "Warehouse District" which houses some of the cities coolest men's shops and boutiques. I have to give a shout out the guys from the Martin Patrick 3 store which was right next to my hotel. I must have spent about 2 hours in their store the first night I arrived. A definite must-see if you're ever in the area.
Here's a few other ones you should definitely check out while you're in the neighborhood:

While exploring around the neighborhood, I stumbled across this raw warehouse space where I had some pretty fantastic views of the city. I linked up with an loyal Instagram follower who was nice enough to spend a small part of the afternoon with me, showing me around and taking some pretty epic photos if you ask me.
Oh, and by the way, if you haven't heard of Liberte Yogurt, you should probably check it out next time you're walking down the dairy aisle at your local grocery store. They have some pretty unique flavors (which are delicious btw!) and plan to introduce even more flavors in the coming months!
All in all, I had a great time during my first visit to Minneapolis and definitely recommend paying a visit if you haven't been before!
