Summer is all about taking time to travel and explore. Traveling is one of my favorite hobbies and I find myself constantly stumbling across new destinations and places I want to visit.
I recently came across the Brexit Calculator by Virgin Atlantic and saw how much I could save purchase by purchase, complete with Virgin Atlantic flair by simply selecting what I'd buy while in London (like that ride on a penny farthing, or tickets to a West End musical!) and the calculator tallies up your savings.
With the pound at a 31 year low, there has never been a more affordable time to travel to London. That being said here's how I would spend 48 hours in London:
Day 1
10AM: Arrive via my Virgin Atlantic flight to London Heathrow Airport (LHR)
12PM: Arrive to check-in to The Laslett (I'd live in this hotel!)
1PM: Grab lunch on Brick Lane
2PM: Stop by Trafalger Square Fountain to snap some photos of course
4PM: River cruise along the Thames
7PM: Dinner at Leicester Square Kitchen
10PM: Exploring London nightlife and checking out fabric, Heaven, and Tiger Tiger London
Day 2
9AM: I need all of the coffee (and breakfast) from Cafe Nero.
10AM: Finding the best bespoke suit money can buy on Saville Row
12PM: Grabbing some fish & chips for lunch at Fishers Fish & Chips.
1PM: Getting lost around the Old Spitalfields Market (A definite must-see if you visit London!)
4PM: Rent a double decker party bus for one last stop on my shopping day adventures!
6PM: Visiting and grabbing dinner and drinks in SoHo (No, not the NYC SoHo)
10PM: Flight back to Washington, DC via Virgin Atlantic.
Phew! What a whirlwind of a visit, but I covered a lot of ground (and water) during my visit!
What would you do if you had 48 hours to spend in London?
