The weather in DC has been so unpredictable lately - sometimes highs are in the 60s and on other days low hit into the teens. Regardless, I've been ready to bust out my sweaters since last September. I've been into different fabric textures lately and worked with my stylist at Stitchfix to determine which sweaters I wanted to try out for this winter. I asked for sweaters that I could layer under coats and jackets that were more on the lightweight side and comfortable.
The first sweater I received was a fitted-lightweight sweater from one of my favorite brands, Scotch & Soda. I liked the simplicity of it and the ability to style up the sleeves a bit. The second was a super smooth and slightly ribbed sweater from Todd Snyder.
I paired both sweaters with a slate-colored chino from 7 Diamonds as I wanted to make sure both could style well with a neutral colored pair of chinos. For footwear, I wanted a great casual winter boot and found out the Tom's (yes, you heard that right) made boots. They are ultra comfortable and pair with pretty much anything since they are a dark navy color. I threw in a Timex watch as a subtle accessory to complete the look.
What are some of your favorite sweater brands? Do you prefer thicker sweaters? Lightweight? Let me know in the comments below!
