On Thursday, April 14th, I was given the opportunity to be an event ambassador for The Hecht Warehouse Fashion Show in partnership with On Tap Magazine. The event featured local D.C. boutiques and designers such as Rosies and Rockers and Brown & Williams Clothiers. The Hecht Warehouse is a historic building located in the Ivy City District that has been fully revitalized and renovated into a 335 unit luxury loft-style apartment building. The building is absolutely beautiful and the apartments are even more stunning which offer 13-foot ceilings, gorgeous bathrooms with subway tiles, brand new stainless steel appliances, and more!
The night of the event I wanted to wear something that was casual, but also had an edge to it. I wore a really comfortable metallic grey neoprene sweater from Club Monaco, black slimming denim from APC, and a black puritan hat from Topman. These are some of my favorite go-to pieces due to their comfort and quality.
During the #HechtWarehouseFashionShow, I was able to mix and mingle with some of DC’s creatives, artists, and designers in the Hecht’s industrial style lobby area. The building has great community spaces such as a “Cellar” bar/lounge space (see pictures below) and great panoramic views of the district from their rooftop apartments. You guys need to check out this building if you’re in the area or looking for a new place to call home. Not only is the staff amazing and the space incredible, but it is also very close to Union Market and has some great retail and fitness destinations nearby like the Nike Factory Store, MOM’s Organic Market, One Eight Distilling, Bikram Yoga and pretty soon there will be an Ulta Beauty!
