This past weekend I had the opportunity to stay at a brand new micro hotel called the Hotel Hive. The entire theme of the hotel is designed with a bee hive design aesthetic with honeycomb designs spread throughout the entire property.
The rooms are designed for people that are constantly on the go or that are in the city for a very short amount of time. Rooms vary in size, but can only accommodate up to 2 people at the most. My room was located on the fifth floor where the largest rooms are located with high ceilings with wooden beams and windows that let in lots of natural light.
Besides the great location of the hotel in the city (just blocks away from the Foggy Bottom metro station and a 15-minute walk to Georgetown), it has some pretty cool on-site spots to check out like the awesome rooftop with stellar city views of the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and more! Hotel Hive is also one of the few hotels to offer a bar on the roof that serves frozen cocktails such as the widely popular frosΓ©.
Downstairs next to the lobby area is a full bar as well as an &pizza restaurant with adjoining patio. If you are reading this and you haven't visited an &pizza, might I suggest you try this specific location as this is the only location in the city that also serves breakfast pizzas. Yes, you read that right, breakfast pizzas! I tried their avocado toast pizza and let me just tell you that I will definitely be back to try it again (over and over again).
