Sometimes you just want to walk out your door in the middle of summer and just want to feel casual, but somewhat polished. I find that the best way to achieve this is to follow a few simple rules.
1. Try to wear classic colors such as navy, white, gray or black in your outfit.
2. Pairing your outfits with a great white sneaker elevates your outfit and adds a nice clean pop to any outfit.
3. No, the polo isn't dead -- it's just how you style it with the other pieces that what you're wearing and making sure you have the right size and FIT.
4. Find fabrics that are stretchy, but that also won't stretch out.
Take this outfit, for example. I paired a fresh light gray Lacoste polo with a stretchy dark navy short for comfort but also paid attention the fit of the short. They have a bit of a sheen to them, therefore, I'm able to pair them with a polo to create a cohesive sporty yet casually clean look.
Add the clean Converse white sneaker, timex watch, and a great pair of tortoise sunglasses from Warby Parker and you have yourself a summer approved outfit.
